Ahmed has worked on numerous wind tunnel studies using Windtech’s three boundary layer wind tunnels. Ahmed’s experience includes the study of wind loads on tall building structures and façade cladding as well as wind tunnel studies of pedestrian wind environments, wind driven rain studies and natural ventilation studies. His experience includes numerous wind tunnel studies for projects around the world, including The Gate Towers in New Al Alamein, Egypt.

He has extensive experience in the study of wind induced vibration and wind-noise in buildings, which includes conducting specialist wind tunnel tests on unique perforated screens, louver screens, fins and other façade features prone to wind noise and vibrations.

Ahmed also lectures part-time at the University of Sydney, where he is the Unit Coordinator for the undergraduate engineering subject ‘Hydrology’ and the CFD analysis demonstrator for the postgraduate engineering subject ‘Applied Fluid Engineering Computing’.
